After many fabulous previous editions, The Flexican’s “Yours Truly” is back on Saturday October 22nd at Amsterdam’s favorite hot spot Jimmy Woo and ready to present another legendary party with more music, a great atmosphere and the best DJs! And like every other year, Amsterdam Dance Event is crammed full of highlights, but “Yours Truly” is the one not to miss!

Dutch multiple award-winning DJ The Flexican, praised for his skills and style, is thé dj in the eclectic music scene all around the country and beyond for years now. His reputation as a studio producer is also growing as he released his first album with Dutch Hip Hop sensation “Flinke Namen”, that resulted into a great success. Not forget to mention his latest EP, a more ‘house-music-minded’ release, where he collaborated with Bassjackers, Sidney Samson and Gregor Salto.
Two years ago, The Flexican saw the opportunity to bring his personal taste and vision to a monthly event; "Yours Truly", a steady party concept where he plays legendary 4-hour DJ sets full of his latest floorkillers and old-time favourite party tracks! With this event The Flexican goes “back to basics” by setting an intimate atmosphere with great sense for mixing different styles and influences of today’s music scene.

Especially for this edition, The Flexican will be bringing an extraordinarily star-studded crew with him to make sure this party is one to remember. Beside himself, MC Sef, DJ Ruckus and Just Blaze star in the eclectic line up that will take no prisoners!

MC Sef (Flinke Namen) is Flexican’s resident “wing-man” at every “Yours Truly” event and knows how to connect crowds with DJs like no other by his magnificent stage-manner and one-of-a-kind voice!

A superstar deejay for the better part of a decade, twenty-four year old DJ Ruckus is now emerging as one of the most dynamic talents in today’s entertainment world. Ruckus, the cousin of rock icon Lenny Kravitz, was given turntables on his fourteenth birthday and took little time to establish an undeniable musical style and understanding. Also as a producer his star is rising big time, Ruckus gained his first credit producing “Sexhibition” – a single from Janet Jackson’s 2006 album. He has also produced for artists ranging from Outkast to Kelis to Chris Brown. Ruckus has been featured in a breadth of national publications including People, Us Weekly, OK! Magazine, Nylon, New York Post, and Ocean Drive. And from inside information, we know he has some secret weapons in his musical repertoire, ready to blow up the dance floors.

Justin Smith, a.k.a. Just Blaze, has been a pillar of hip-hop production for a while now. The 33-year-old musician has worked with some of the industry’s biggest artists over the last 13 years: Smith produced “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Song Cry” for Jay Z’s The Blueprint and continued to work with the rapper on his Grammy-nominated Black Album. He’s also responsible for radio anthems such as Cam’ron’s “Oh Boy,” Kanye West’s “Touch the Sky,” T.I. and Rihanna’s “Live Your Life,” Beanie Sigel’s “Roc the Mic,” Freeway’s “What We Do,” and Faboulous’ “Breathe.” Though, Just Blaze has always made his name internationally through DJing and at the holiday party he did with A-Trak a few years ago, it was the first time it was advertised that he was spinning house music, that piqued a lot of people’s interest. He just killed it!
Recently he also released his first dance productions; two amazing remixes of the track ‘Brighter Days’ on Cajual Records. It’s clear: Grab your dancing shoes and get ready for this guys’ contagious beats!
